Tinubu Assures Nigerians They Are Better Off Than Kenyans

President Bola Tinubu, during an address, assured Nigerians that they are better off than Kenyans despite the ongoing economic hardships. He acknowledged the difficulties faced by citizens due to rising fuel prices, which have surged to N1,300 per liter, largely influenced by global events, including military actions in the Middle East.

Tinubu emphasized that the economic challenges are partly due to global forces beyond Nigeria's control and highlighted the recent turmoil in Kenya, including protests against President William Ruto's government over a tax hike. While inaugurating projects in Bayelsa State, including a bridge and road improvements, he reiterated his administration's commitment to alleviating the burdens on vulnerable Nigerians through various financial and economic plans.

Tinubu also responded to Governor Douye Diri's request for federal reimbursement for state-built roads, indicating that only federally classified roads would qualify for such reimbursements.
