Tinubu Mourns Soldiers Killed in Borno Terror Attack

President Bola Tinubu expressed deep sorrow over the deaths of soldiers from the 29 Task Force Brigade who were killed in a terrorist attack at Camp Benisheikh, Borno State. In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu referred to the fallen troops as "unforgettable heroes" and extended condolences to the families of the victims.

The attack, which occurred early on Thursday, resulted in casualties among the troops, who valiantly fought to repel the terrorists and protect their community from Boko Haram. Tinubu assured that the federal government would continue to support the armed forces and that the state government would always stand with them, providing necessary equipment for their welfare and safety.

He urged the military personnel not to be discouraged by the incident and reaffirmed the commitment to achieving total victory over insurgents in Nigeria's northeast. The attack highlights the persistent threat posed by Boko Haram and its splinter group, the Islamic State West Africa Province.
