Natasha Welcomes Defectors Back to PDP Amid Crisis

Natasha, addressing party members during the inauguration of the PDP national convention committee in Abuja, extended a welcome back to defectors of the People's Democratic Party (PDP). She highlighted the party's decline, noting that it currently holds only 37 out of 109 Senate seats due to ongoing leadership crises.

Natasha stressed that rebuilding and reclaiming the party's rightful position in national affairs requires collective effort. Okezi Victor Ikpeazu, chairman of the convention committee, described the event as a consequential moment for the party, acknowledging the internal challenges and legal battles faced.

He noted that the appellate court has affirmed the legitimacy of the national caretaker committee, presenting a fresh opportunity for renewal. Ikpeazu urged party members to reconcile and move beyond divisions to strengthen the PDP.
