Dr. Keshinro Wins African Trailblazer Merit Award

Dr. Maryam Ismaila Keshinro, the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, was honored with the African Trailblazer Merit Award by the African Parliament Writer Network (UAPWN) during a ceremony held over the weekend.

This award acknowledges her outstanding leadership and commitment to transforming youth development in Nigeria. The UAPWN, which comprises journalists from print, electronic, and digital media across six African countries, recognized Dr.

Keshinro for her visionary leadership and innovative policies that have significantly advanced youth empowerment initiatives. Her efforts include strategic interventions aimed at reforming the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), advocating for increased funding, and improving the infrastructure of orientation camps nationwide.
