Youths March in Abuja for Unity Against Terrorism

On Tuesday, hundreds of young men and women staged a march at the National Assembly in Abuja, advocating for national unity in the fight against terrorism and insecurity in Nigeria. The youth called on citizens to unite, regardless of socio-political affiliations, to confront the security challenges facing the nation.

They expressed their concerns about individuals and groups exploiting security issues for political gain. The protest featured banners with inscriptions urging leaders from various political parties, including the ADC, PDP, and APC, to rise in unison against insecurity.

Comrade Austin Okhai emphasized that no country has ever defeated terrorism with a disunited front, citing examples of unity in countries like Israel, Pakistan, and Kenya. He called for collaboration among former military leaders and security chiefs to address the pressing security issues affecting daily life in Nigeria.

Comrade Isah Abubakar noted that insecurity has become a nationwide problem requiring collective efforts to tackle effectively.
