Youths in Taraba Alarmed Over Fraudulent Registration Fees

Youths from the Takum Local Government Council in Taraba State have expressed alarm over alleged fraudulent activities linked to the 'Renewed Hope' government registration initiative. According to reports submitted to the state governor, Dr.

Agbu Kefa, unidentified individuals have been collecting fees of N1,000 from elderly residents for participation in a federal government program. This practice has reportedly occurred multiple times, leading to protests from the community.

A letter signed by Christoph Tanimu, representing the youth, emphasized the financial loss and distress caused by these activities, particularly affecting vulnerable members of the community. The youths have called for an urgent investigation by the state government to protect citizens from further exploitation and to address the matter.

They expressed goodwill towards the state leadership and praised the peace and progress in Takum, Taraba State, Nigeria.
