YouTube TV to Remove Three Channels by September 2026
YouTube TV, owned by Google, will discontinue three channels (Court TV, Tastemade, and The Young Turks) effective September 30, 2026. This change affects both live broadcasts and previously recorded programs.
No specific reason was provided for the removal. Court TV is known for courtroom and true-crime coverage, Tastemade focuses on food and lifestyle programming, and The Young Turks offers news and commentary.
YouTube TV currently provides over 100 channels, including major networks like ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC. In July, YouTube TV expanded its offerings by adding channels such as HBCU Go, Cars.TV, Pets.TV, and TheGrio, following a renewed carriage agreement with Allen Media Group in May.
Meanwhile, DStv is also adjusting its subscription packages and pricing structure to offer more viewing options in response to competition from streaming services and the increasing sensitivity of Nigerian consumers to subscription costs.
