Nigerian Reps Call for Police Deployment on Abuja-Lokoja Expressway for Security and Traffic Relief

The Nigerian House of Representatives has called for the immediate deployment of police along the Abuja-Lokoja expressway to address security concerns and traffic congestion. The highway, a crucial economic corridor linking Abuja to the North Central region, has been plagued by poor maintenance, leading to accidents, property damage, and traffic gridlock.

Lawmakers emphasized the importance of completing rehabilitation works on the road to ensure safe passage for road users. Additionally, they urged the Federal Ministry of Works and FRSC to intensify traffic control measures to reduce road crashes.
