Governor Wike Orders Tougher Security Measures in Abuja for Festive Season

Governor Nyesom Wike has directed security agencies to intensify surveillance and tighten security in Abuja as the festive season approaches. The joint security exercise, known as "Operation Sweep," aims to combat crime in the territory.

The FCT Commission, led by Police Commissioner Miller Dantaway, will be supported by military, police, and DSS personnel deployed across different parts of the city. The operation will focus on ensuring the safety of residents and visitors during the yuletide period, with measures to curb criminal activities, especially kidnapping and banditry.
