Dr. Samuel Olusegun Osoba, Yusufu Bala Usman Institute Chair, Dies

Dr. Samuel Olusegun Osoba, the Chairman of the Yusufu Bala Usman Institute, died peacefully at the age of 92 on Wednesday in Ijebu Ode. The institute announced his passing in a statement signed by its director, Norma Perchonock.

Dr. Osoba was widely regarded as a distinguished scholar whose work focused on teaching, research, and the examination of Nigeria's economic and political history. His career included producing extensive academic work, public writings, and contributions to the drafting of the 1976 document for the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
