ADC Affirms Validity of Federal High Court Judgment

The Zamfara State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has reaffirmed that the Federal High Court judgment issued on April 29, 2026, remains binding and valid until a higher court rules otherwise. This statement was made by Abdulkareem Umar, the party's public secretary, in Gusau.

The ADC has dismissed claims that question the legitimacy of its leadership, specifically regarding Senator David Mark's appeal against the judgment. The court has already set a date to hear the appeal, but the ADC insists that the judgment is valid and cannot be disregarded by any individual or group.

The party emphasized that the legal process must be followed and warned against filing multiple appeals, which they consider an abuse of court processes. The ADC's leadership, under Alhaji Kabiru Garba Gusau, is set to serve until April 12, 2031, and the party maintains that its congress was conducted in accordance with its constitution.
