Zamfara Airport Completes First Test Flight Successfully

The Zamfara airport marked a significant milestone by recording its first test flight on a Bombardier Challenger 605 aircraft at exactly 4:30 PM. This flight was part of an assessment to evaluate the airport's capabilities for VIP movement, as stated by Sulaiman Bala Idri, the spokesperson for the governor.

The aircraft, registered as 5N-FGZ, performed takeoff and landing operations under visual flight rules (VFR) and adhered to strict regulations from sunrise to sunset. The test flight was conducted following a request from the state government for permission from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), which granted the necessary authorization without any technical objections.

Additional test flights are scheduled for the following week, as the airport prepares to enhance its operational capacity.
