Zamfara First Lady Distributes 50,000 Ramadan Food Packs

The First Lady of Zamfara conducted a humanitarian outreach by distributing 50,000 Ramadan food packages across multiple local government areas, including Shinkafi, Zurmi, Birnin Magaji, and others. Each food package contained a 20kg bag of rice, beans, maize, millet, 5kg of sugar, spaghetti, cooking oil, salt, and clothing materials for women.

This initiative was designed to cushion the impact of rising food prices and provide relief to families observing Ramadan. A distribution committee was inaugurated at the ward level to ensure transparency and community participation, working closely with local government chairmen to identify deserving beneficiaries.

The First Lady emphasized a zero-tolerance policy for favoritism during the distribution process. Additionally, Governor Dauda Lawal launched a Ramadan relief package for 1,000 vulnerable households through the Ibrahim Bello Foundation, which included support for widows, orphans, and disabled individuals.

The First Lady expressed gratitude for the governor's support in improving citizens' welfare.
