Police Neutralize Two Bandits, Recover Explosives in Zamfara

On May 26, at approximately 12:30 AM, police in Zamfara responded to an attack by armed hoodlums in the Funtur area of Rugar Buda village, Nahuc district. The assailants fired sporadically, causing panic among residents.

The police, led by DSP Yazid Abubakar, swiftly engaged the attackers in a gun duel, resulting in the neutralization of two bandits. However, one civilian, identified as Kabiru Auwal, aged 35, from Gwargwab area, sustained gunshot injuries to his left hand, which resulted in a fracture.

He is currently receiving treatment at a hospital. DSP Abubakar confirmed that police patrols would intensify in the area to prevent further attacks and enhance security.
