Borno Governor Boosts Education with Stipend and Free Meals for Students

Governor Zulum of Borno State approved a monthly stipend of N300,000 for parents of 90 students in Gajiganna town to boost enrollment in Western education. Additionally, he ordered the provision of free meals for students at the Higher Islamic College in the northern part of the state.

The governor expressed concerns over low enrollment rates due to the region's past insurgency challenges. He emphasized the importance of promoting education in the area by blending Islamic scholarship with modern subjects like Science, Mathematics, and Technology.

The initiative aims to enhance educational opportunities for students in the region and equip them with essential skills for the future.
