Zulum Implements Eid Movement Restrictions for Security

Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State announced a movement restriction on Eid day, specifically from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM. This measure will apply to vehicles, tricycles, and motorcycles.

The Nigerian Military issued an advisory warning of possible terrorist attacks in crowded locations across the state. The movement restriction aims to enhance security during the Eid celebrations, with residents advised to remain close to their homes.

The directive is intended to ensure efficient movement and easy identification for security agencies, ambulances, and essential service personnel, who will be exempt from the restrictions if they possess valid identification. The Commissioner for Internal Security, Usman, urged residents across the state's 27 local government areas to comply and cooperate with security operations.

Zulum also called on parents and guardians to caution their children against actions that could disrupt public peace and reaffirmed his administration's commitment to security, reconstruction, and resettlement efforts in Borno State.
