APC’s Faduyile won the Ondo South Senatorial by-election, securing 68,474 votes. His closest rival, Adeolu Akinwumi of the APM, received 1,411 votes. The election followed the vacancy left by Jimoh Ibrahim's appointment as Nigeria's permanent representative to the UN.
Prof. Dayo Faduyile of the All Progressives Congress won the Ondo South senatorial by-election held on Saturday, securing 68,474 votes. The total votes cast were 70,770, with 602 votes rejected. The election was conducted across six local government areas.
