Senate President's Aide Denies Gololo's 2027 Claims

Malam Jibril Lawal Tafida, a special adviser to the Senate President, responded to claims made by Garu Gololo regarding threats to northern voters in the lead-up to the 2027 elections. Tafida described Gololo's assertions as completely false and reckless, accusing him of fabricating stories to mislead the public and create political tension.

He issued a statement on Friday, emphasizing that the Senate President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, had not made any threats against northern voters. Tafida urged security agencies to investigate Gololo's comments and called for accountability, stating that the public deserves to know the source of such baseless allegations.

He condemned Gololo's language as insulting and disrespectful towards the Senate President, who is the third-highest official in Nigeria. Tafida also criticized Gololo for repeatedly attacking Tinubu's administration and urged Nigerians to reject political insults and falsehoods that undermine public institutions.
