Senate President Akpabio Denies Anti-North Allegations

The office of the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has denied allegations made by an individual named Gololo, who claimed that Akpabio made anti-northern comments. Jibril Lawal Tafida, a special adviser to the Senate President, described the allegations as completely false and malicious, asserting that they were intended to mislead the public and create unnecessary tension in the country.

Tafida called on security agencies to investigate and arrest Gololo, urging that the public deserves to know the source of these baseless claims. The Northern Democrat Front (NDF) has also petitioned the Inspector General of Police for Gololo's arrest, accusing him of making defamatory remarks against Akpabio that could incite public disorder and threaten national peace.

The NDF condemned Gololo's use of vulgar language against the Senate President, calling for an investigation and prosecution for spreading false information that disturbs public peace.
