Kogi CJ Inaugurates Panel to Review 105 Court Cases

On a recent date, Kogi State Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Josiah Majebi, announced the inauguration of a nine-member appeal panel to review 105 cases from lower courts, aiming to provide further avenues for litigants dissatisfied with previous rulings.

This initiative is part of the first quarter appeal session for the year 2026, with sessions scheduled every Monday to Friday to ensure quick dispensation of justice. The panel will handle a combination of criminal and civil cases across various locations in Kogi State, including Lokoja, Oken, Ankpa, Idah, Anyigba, and Kabba.

Hon. Justice Angelina Salihu will lead the Lokoja division, while other judges will oversee cases in different divisions.

The Chief Judge emphasized the importance of the legal community's participation during these sessions and expressed appreciation for the efforts of the state judiciary in creating opportunities for litigants to seek redress.
