Eleven Dead in Multiple Road Accidents Across Nigeria

On Monday night, eleven individuals lost their lives in multiple road accidents across Ogun, Oyo, and Bauchi states. In Ogun State, a crash involving a white Toyota Camry and a truck resulted in the deaths of two female occupants who had just arrived from the United Kingdom.

The Ogun State Traffic Compliance Agency spokesperson, Babatunde Akinbiyi, attributed the accident to excessive speed. In a separate incident in Ijebu Imushin, four people died when a white Toyota Hiace collided with a blue diesel truck after a tow chain snapped.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed the fatalities and stated that speed was a contributing factor. In Oyo State, three people were feared dead due to a heavy-duty trailer suffering brake failure, which caused widespread destruction and injuries to ten others.

Lastly, in Bauchi State, a crash involving a Toyota Hiace returning from an evangelistic outreach resulted in the deaths of three individuals and injuries to ten others, attributed to a tyre burst.
