Three Dead, Five Injured in Ibadan Auto Crash

On Wednesday evening, an auto crash in the Amuloko area of Ona Ara Local Government, Ibadan, Oyo State, resulted in the deaths of three individuals and injuries to five others. The incident occurred when the driver of a commercial bus, identified by the number plate Osun LEW 484 XA, lost control of the vehicle, which subsequently rammed into the river.

The Oyo State Fire Service, led by Moroof Akinwand, confirmed the accident and reported that the agency received a distress call at approximately 3:38 PM. Emergency personnel, including Akinwand and Glorious Temitop, the chairman of Ona Ara Local Government, were involved in the rescue operations.

Five survivors were rescued and transported to a private hospital in the Jeged area. The accident was attributed to reckless driving, prompting Akinwand to urge road users to drive carefully and observe road safety measures to prevent further accidents.
