Thirteen Killed in Plateau State Attacks on Traders

On Monday, a series of violent attacks in Plateau State resulted in the deaths of at least 13 individuals. The first incident involved four traders who were ambushed along Mangu Hale suburb in Mangu Local Government Area while traveling to Pankshin.

Suleiman Abubakar, the chairman of the traders' market association, confirmed the attack, which left two survivors. The deceased were identified as Uwaisu, Zubairu, Shamsu, and Babakarami.

In a separate attack later that evening at a beer bar in Dorawan Babuj, Barkin Ladi Local Government Area, nine people were brutally killed around 7:27 PM, with three others sustaining serious injuries. Rwang Tengwong, spokesman for the Berom Youth Moulder Association, confirmed this incident.

Captain Chinonso Polycarp Oteh, a military spokesperson, stated that troops have been deployed to the affected areas to respond to the attacks and ensure justice is served.
