Fresh Plateau Attacks Leave 28 Dead Amid Violence

In a series of violent attacks in Plateau State, at least 28 individuals were confirmed killed, following an assault on Anguwan Rukuba in Jos North Local Government Area. The Berom Youth Moulder Association (BYM) accused the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) of launching these attacks.

The violence escalated when gunmen stormed the Barik Ladi area, killing two individuals and injuring two others around 11 PM, causing panic among students residing off-campus. Among the victims was 27-year-old Amo Mondai, who was ambushed by gunmen in the Kwi Ward of the Wereng community at approximately 8:15 PM.

Residents of Kwi and Wereng have been advised to remain vigilant amid the ongoing violence, which has created a climate of fear in the region.
