15-Year-Old Herder Killed in Plateau State Attack

In a recent attack in Plateau State, a 15-year-old herder was killed, and 13 cattle were slaughtered, with 11 others reported missing. Ibrahim Yusuf Babayo, the Plateau State chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), confirmed the incident, stating that the herder was tending to cattle when gunmen opened fire.

Babayo condemned the attack as unprovoked and highlighted the ongoing threat to the peace and security of herders and their livestock in the region. The incident has been reported to the Bukuru B Division of the Nigeria Police.

MACBAN has urged security agencies to investigate the circumstances surrounding the killings and to ensure that those responsible are brought to justice. The association called on the government to take proactive measures to protect the lives and properties of citizens, regardless of their ethnic backgrounds, and appealed to the Fulani community to remain law-abiding and allow authorities to handle the situation.
