Ajala Olanrewaju Achieves First Class Law Degree After 15 Years

Ajala Abdulbasit Olanrewaju graduated with First Class Honours in Common and Islamic Law from Al-Hikmah University, 15 years after leaving secondary school in 2011. Initially intending to study Accounting, Olanrewaju faced several delays before returning to education.

He spent seven years at Darul-Ulum, Isalekoto, Ilorin, studying Arabic and graduating among the top 10 students. In 2021, he retook the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) with a focus on Arts subjects to qualify for Law.

After gaining admission to Al-Hikmah University, he achieved a 4.59 GPA in his first semester and later recorded perfect GPAs in some semesters. Olanrewaju graduated as the best male student in the Common and Islamic Law Department and was one of two male First Class graduates from the Faculty of Law.

He also served as the Faculty of Law President, becoming the first president to graduate with First Class Honours.
