LASU Graduate Achieves Degree After 22-Year Journey

Musbaudeen Ololade Sideeq Ajétúnmọbí celebrated his graduation from Lagos State University (LASU) on 18 August 2026, marking the culmination of a 22-year journey since he completed secondary school in 2004. After finishing secondary school, he obtained a National Diploma from the Polytechnic Ibadan in 2010.

From 2010 to 2016, Ajétúnmọbí attempted the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination multiple times, passing each attempt but failing to secure admission. During this period, he trained as a media and radio broadcaster, establishing a career in the media sector while postponing his university aspirations.

In 2021, he faced a significant setback when he was robbed, losing all his possessions. Despite these challenges, he eventually gained admission to LASU, where he studied Sociology and graduated with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.23.

His story resonated with many Nigerians, reflecting broader issues related to education and admission struggles in the country.
