Goalkeepers Sent Off in Violent Spanish Derby Brawl

In a tense Spanish second division derby on Sunday, a violent brawl led to the sending off of two goalkeepers, Esteban Andrada of Real Zaragoza and Dani Jimenez of SD Huesca. The incident occurred deep into stoppage time when Andrada lost his temper after the final whistle, ignoring ongoing play.

He approached Huesca captain Jorg Pulido and punched him in the face, which sparked a mass confrontation among players. The situation escalated, resulting in Jimenez also being dismissed for punching Andrada during the melee.

The match, already charged due to the relegation battle, saw Zaragoza's Dani Tasende shown a red card for his role in the incident. Huesca secured a 1-0 victory thanks to a goal from Oscar Sielva, lifting them to 36 points and 19th place in the standings, while Zaragoza remained second bottom with 35 points.

Huesca's manager, Jose Luis, condemned the incident as a complete loss of control and acknowledged the intense pressure of the match. Further disciplinary action is expected as match officials will submit a report on the incident.
