Esteban Andrada Banned 13 Matches for Punching Opponent

Esteban Andrada, the goalkeeper for Real Zaragoza, has been handed a 13-match ban by the Royal Spanish Football Federation for punching Jorg Pulido, a defender for SD Huesca, during a second-tier derby match on Sunday. The incident occurred late in the match when Andrada, who had already received a red card, reacted angrily after pushing Pulido, leading to a mass confrontation on the pitch.

The disciplinary committee announced the sanction, which included a 12-match suspension for the punch, with the additional match ban being automatic due to the earlier red card. Andrada later apologized for his actions, describing the incident as a poor reflection on the club.

Additionally, two other players were punished: Dani Jiménez, the goalkeeper for Huesca, received a four-match suspension, while Dani Tasende from Zaragoza was banned for two matches. The match ended with Huesca securing a 1-0 victory, complicating Zaragoza's efforts to avoid relegation.
