Thai Sailors Return After Gulf of Hormuz Attack

On Monday, twenty Thai sailors returned to Thailand after being involved in a maritime incident where their cargo ship, the Mayure Nare, was attacked in the Gulf of Hormuz. The vessel, registered under Liberia, was struck by two projectiles from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard while transiting the Gulf waters.

The attack occurred on Wednesday, and the crew members were escorted upon arrival at Thailand's main international airport. One crew member's wife, identified as Bass, expressed concern for her husband and mentioned that the company had not communicated about his return.

She had spoken to him via Facebook Messenger during the ordeal. The shipping company has committed to providing welfare support for the crew, including mental health assessments, as they continue efforts to locate three missing crew members believed to be trapped in the engine room.
