200 Golfers to Compete in Kano Golf Club Tournament

On Saturday, July 25, 2026, Kano Golf Club 1908 will host the Captain’s Inaugural Tournament, marking the official inauguration of the club’s newly elected Captain, Mr. David Emeana.

Approximately 200 golfers from various clubs across Nigeria, including Bauchi, Dutse, Enugu, Ikoyi Club 1938, Ikeja, Kaduna, Katsina, and Port Harcourt Python Golf Club, are expected to participate. The tournament is designed to promote friendship, sportsmanship, and camaraderie within the golfing community.

Mr. Emeana announced that professional golfers based in Kano would also compete.

The Governor of Kano State, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, will serve as the Special Guest of Honour at the tournament’s closing ceremony, which will take place at the club’s clubhouse.

Other distinguished guests include the Consul General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Kano, His Excellency Khalil Ahmad Admawi, the Consul General of Lebanon in Kano, His Excellency Khalil Muselmani, the Emir of Dutse, Alhaji Muhammad Hamim Nuhu Sanusi, the Emir of Kazaure, Alhaji Najib Hussein Adamu, and Alhaji Bashir M. Dalhatu, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Arewa Consultative Forum.
