APGA Aims to Unseat APC in FCT Elections Amid Intimidation

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has announced its intention to unseat the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming elections for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). During a press conference in Abuja, APGA's chairmanship candidate, Ez Onyebuchi Chukwu, raised alarms about voter intimidation, particularly affecting non-indigenous residents.

Chukwu emphasized the party's commitment to addressing social welfare, security, and modern governance through technology. He promised initiatives such as free medical care for pregnant women, free basic education, and skill acquisition programs to improve teacher welfare, including the payment of salary arrears.

Chukwu expressed confidence in the independence of the National Electoral Commission (INEC) and described the council polls as a litmus test ahead of the 2027 general elections. He noted that the people are tired of poor governance and that APGA represents the best alternative.

Chukwu also praised the achievements of APGA in Anambra State, vowing to replicate these successes in the FCT.
