NRC Adjusts Abuja-Kaduna Train Schedule for Elections

The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has announced a slight change to the Abuja-Kaduna train service schedule ahead of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) elections on Saturday, February 21, 2026. According to a statement from NRC's Chief Public Relations Officer, Callistus Unyimadu, the outbound train from Abuja to Kaduna will now depart at 7:30 AM, adjusted from the initial departure time of 9:10 AM.

The inbound service from Kaduna to Abuja will remain unchanged, departing at 2:30 PM as scheduled. Passengers are advised to arrive at the station early to avoid delays caused by the movement restrictions in place for the elections.

The NRC expressed regret for any inconvenience these adjustments may cause, noting that normal train services will resume on Sunday following the elections.
