Falconets Gear Up for Crucial Match Against New Caledonia

The Nigeria U20 women's national team, known as the Falconets, is preparing to compete against New Caledonia on Sunday at the Stadion Miejski LKS Łòdź during the 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup. Head Coach Moses Aduku stated that the team is in good spirits and injury-free, despite their previous two losses in Group F, where they lost 0-5 to China and 0-11 to Spain, leaving them at the bottom of the group with no points and a goal difference of minus 16.

Aduku emphasized the importance of scoring goals in their upcoming match, as Nigeria currently has one point from a scoreless draw with China. To advance to the Round of 16, the Falconets must win decisively to improve their goal balance, regardless of the outcome of the other Group F match between Spain and China.
