Nigeria Prepares for Zone 3 Beach Volleyball Qualifier

Nigeria's national beach volleyball team is ramping up preparations for the Zone 3 Beach Volleyball Nations Cup qualifier, set to take place from July 3 to 7 at Badagry Beach, Lagos State. Coach Kayod Ajilor expressed confidence in the team's ability to qualify for the African Beach Volleyball Nations Cup.

The Nigerian contingent is currently undergoing an intensive training camp in Kaduna, where 16 athletes, comprising eight male and eight female players, are refining their strategies and physical conditioning. Ajilor noted that while four men and four women will ultimately represent Nigeria in the qualifier, the entire squad is committed to rigorous training.

The Nigeria Volleyball Federation, led by Engr Musa Nimrod, has ensured adequate welfare support for the players, enhancing their focus and morale. The team will compete against countries including Benin Republic, Niger Republic, Côte d'Ivoire, and Burkina Faso.

Coaches Felicia Amo and John Iwerima highlighted the athletes' dedication and progress during training, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and discipline for success.
