Nigeria Names 20 Players for 2026 Volleyball Qualifiers

The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) has announced the invitation of 20 players to prepare for the 2026 Africa Nations Cup Volleyball qualifiers, set to take place in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, from July 13 to 23. The squad features a blend of experienced national team players and emerging domestic stars, with selections based on impressive performances during the first phase of the 2026 National Premier Volleyball League.

The players are expected to report to camp in Abuja for intensive preparations. The technical crew, led by head coach Oladipupo Taiwo, includes assistant coaches Gabriel Tswevini, Yohanna Jonah, and Adamu Serv.

The chairman of the technical committee, Princ Tund Omisor, expressed optimism about the selected players' qualities to secure qualification for the Africa Nations Cup. The NVBF remains committed to selecting players based on merit and current form, emphasizing the importance of the domestic league in evaluating talent.
