NNPC/Seplat JV Hosts 2026 PEARLs Quiz in Imo State

The NNPC/Seplat Joint Venture held the 2026 PEARLs quiz competition grand final on Thursday in Owerri, Imo State, where Mountain Crest High School was declared the champion. Chioma Af, the Director of External Affairs and Social Performance at Seplat Energy, highlighted the event's focus on intellectual discipline and critical thinking, essential for today's world.

The PEARLs quiz is a flagship educational program targeting secondary schools across various states, aiming to foster academic excellence and innovation. This year's competition involved 200 schools in Imo State, with students undergoing rigorous assessments.

Nuim Olanrewaju Igandan, Chief Upstream Investment Officer, emphasized the organization's commitment to nurturing talent and ensuring no brilliance goes unnoticed. Emeka Mgbudem, representing the Governor of Imo State, commended the initiative's positive impact on youth development.

The event also included a visit to an infectious disease hospital, showcasing the joint venture's broader contributions to education and healthcare in the region.
