N11m Awarded in Rivers State Science Quiz Competition

Chief Duml Maol, the Chief Executive Officer of Giole Global Resources Limited, pledged to renovate and furnish dilapidated primary schools in Khana Local Government Area, Rivers State. This promise was made during the grand final of the 3rd edition of the science quiz competition held at Chief Lesi Maol Ogoni Secondary School.

The competition, sponsored annually by the Ogoni People, aimed to enhance educational standards in Ogoniland and involved 60 secondary schools from four local government areas, culminating in eight schools reaching the finals. The winners included Birabi Memorial Grammar School, which received N5 million for first place, followed by Community Secondary School Akpajo with N3 million for second place, and Community Secondary School Bua Yegh, which won N2 million for third place.

Chief Maol emphasized the importance of investing in youth and pledged to partner with the government for educational improvements, with plans to identify and rehabilitate the worst primary schools in Khana by December.
