JAMB to Reschedule Exams for Candidates Affected by Glitches

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has confirmed that candidates whose exams were disrupted by system glitches during the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will be given the opportunity to retake their exams on a rescheduled date. This announcement was made in Abuja on Friday, where the Senate Committee on Tertiary Education, led by Sen.

Bwari, monitored the ongoing UTME. The committee addressed concerns raised by disgruntled parents and candidates regarding the technical issues faced at various Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers, particularly in Abuja.

Dr. Fabian Benjamin, JAMB's public communications advisor, reassured that while technical challenges are not uncommon, all registered candidates will have the chance to sit for their exams.

Frustrated candidates, such as Eunic Peter and Mr. David Afolanyo, expressed their dissatisfaction over the disruptions and the financial implications of rescheduling.

JAMB has committed to improving the efficiency of CBT centers to prevent future occurrences.
