JAMB Warns 2026 UTME Candidates Against False Information to Avoid Admission Denial

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) registrar, Ishaq Oloyede, cautioned 2026 UTME candidates about the consequences of providing false information during registration. Oloyede highlighted that such actions could result in candidates being barred from sitting for the exam for three years.

He mentioned that offenders' names would be published in national newspapers and shared with law enforcement agencies like the EFCC, ICPC, and the Nigerian Police for further investigation and possible prosecution. Oloyede stressed the need for candidates to declare accurate information and provide supporting documents during registration to prevent any falsification attempts.

The registrar urged candidates to avoid submitting fictitious details to safeguard their chances of securing admission into tertiary institutions.
