JAMB Rules Out Fee Hike for 2026 UTME, Assures Nigerian Candidates

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has confirmed that there will be no hike in registration fees for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The board emphasized that registration fees have not been raised in the last nine years, contrary to speculations.

JAMB stated that the decision aligns with directives from President Bola Tinubu and the Ministry of Education to maintain a human face policy. Despite the downward review of fees, JAMB continues to operate efficiently and prudently, ensuring substantial remittances to the federal and state governments.
