Kompany Rejects Pundit Roles for 2026 World Cup

Vincent Kompany, the current manager of Bayern Munich, has turned down several invitations to work as a television pundit during the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be held across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. He expressed his preference for family time over media duties during a press conference prior to Bayern's semi-final clash against Bayer 04 Leverkusen.

When questioned about the reports of interest from English broadcasters, Kompany humorously dismissed the idea, stating there was "no chance" he would accept such offers. He emphasized the importance of taking a holiday period to spend time with his family, especially after a demanding season.

Despite his previous experience as a pundit and his close working relationship with England striker Harry Kane, Kompany reiterated his decision to focus on family rather than combine media commitments with his coaching responsibilities.
