Abuja Indigenes Endorse Tinubu, Wike for 2027 Elections

Abuja indigenes have expressed their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), as they prepare for the 2027 general elections. Simon Baba Yerima, the General Secretary of Kpaduma Community, highlighted Tinubu's commitment to fulfilling promises made to the community.

Yerima commended Wike for upgrading traditional institutions across the FCT, describing this initiative as a long-overdue and significant step towards enhancing grassroots governance. He noted that traditional institutions had been neglected for nearly three decades, with the last major upgrade occurring during the military administration of Lt. Gen. Jeremiah Useni 28 years ago.

Yerima expressed gratitude for Tinubu's appointment of Wike as FCT Minister, stating that this decision has proven beneficial for the development of the territory. He emphasized that Wike's actions demonstrate a political will to address the concerns of the indigenous community and improve cooperation between local leaders and government authorities.
