The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially dismissed claims of negotiations with the People's Redemption Party (PRP) for a possible merger ahead of an anticipated court judgment concerning its leadership crisis. In a statement issued by Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC described these claims as false and lacking any basis, asserting that no discussions had taken place.

The ADC is currently pursuing legal redress against the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) regarding its delisting, which the party deems illegal. The ADC emphasized its commitment to overturning INEC's decision through ongoing court proceedings, believing this to be critical for preserving the rule of law and protecting Nigeria's multiparty democratic system.

The party also highlighted the rising political tension as the judiciary prepares to deliver a judgment on the matter, expressing confidence in the court while urging authorities to remain impartial and resist external interference. The ADC reiterated its intention to build a broader opposition coalition in the future.
