PRP Rejects ADC Takeover, Affirms Party Integrity

The People's Redemption Party (PRP) has publicly rejected an alleged takeover plot by the African Democratic Congress (ADC), asserting that the party is not for sale. PRP Chairman Abdulmajid Yakubu Dauda made this declaration during a press conference in Kano, stating that the party remains committed to its founding ideology and will not allow itself to be used as a tool for personal financial gain.

Dauda accused certain individuals in Kaduna of attempting to manipulate the party's structure without following proper processes, labeling them as part of a "Kaduna mafia" that does not represent the values of the PRP. He emphasized the party's long-standing focus on the welfare of ordinary Nigerians and criticized career politicians who seek power for personal gain.

Dauda also addressed the current internal crisis within the party, highlighting the lack of unity and the need to adhere to the party's core beliefs as they approach the 2027 elections.
