Fani-Kayode Doubts ADC's 2027 Presidential Candidate Viability

Femi Fani-Kayode, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former minister, raised concerns regarding the African Democratic Congress (ADC) potentially failing to present a candidate recognized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the upcoming 2027 general elections. In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, he criticized the ADC for its deep internal divisions, which he believes threaten its political future.

Fani-Kayode described the party's efforts as superficial, involving high-profile engagements and media appearances that lack substance. He warned politicians considering alliances with the ADC to proceed cautiously, as such partnerships may be politically risky and ultimately futile.

He emphasized the need for unity within the ADC to produce a legitimate candidate capable of competing effectively in the presidential race. Fani-Kayode expressed confidence in the APC's chances of victory in the next electoral cycle, predicting that the party would secure a convincing win against its rivals.
