Wike Declares Adeleke's Loyalty to Tinubu Ahead of 2027

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, declared that Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke is part of his political camp while asserting that President Bola Tinubu is the leader to whom they all belong. Wike made these statements during a press briefing on Friday in Abuja, amidst ongoing political realignments in preparation for the 2027 general elections.

He noted that Adeleke's recent meetings with both himself and President Tinubu indicated the governor's political allegiance. Wike criticized members of the African Democratic Congress who claimed credit for Adeleke's victory in the Osun governorship election, asserting that such claims were unfounded.

He predicted that the political landscape would see a larger coalition supporting Tinubu as the elections approach, emphasizing that the electoral contest is still unfolding. Wike also questioned the future political stance of Dele Momodu in light of Adeleke's alignment with Tinubu and concluded by reaffirming their collective loyalty to the President.
