Wike Affirms Adeleke's Loyalty to Tinubu Amid Political Shift

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, stated that Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke is firmly aligned with his political camp and remains loyal to President Bola Tinubu. This declaration followed Adeleke's visit to Wike in Abuja on Thursday, where he presented his Certificate of Return.

Wike emphasized that Adeleke's meetings with both him and President Tinubu demonstrate the governor's support for the President. He criticized members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for attempting to take credit for Adeleke's election victory, asserting that the governor has fully aligned with the ruling camp.

Wike predicted that the coalition supporting Tinubu's re-election bid would expand significantly in the coming weeks, describing the ongoing alliance-building as unprecedented. He rejected the notion that the battle lines for the 2027 elections had been drawn, asserting that the contest remains open.

Wike also questioned Dele Momodu's association with the ADC and Adeleke, suggesting that it lacked a solid basis.
