Alex Otti Sets Conditions for LP Presidential Ticket 2027

On Thursday in Abuja, Alex Otti, the Governor of Abia State and a national leader of the Labour Party (LP), unveiled the conditions for the party's presidential ticket ahead of the 2027 general elections. During the inauguration of the National Working Committee (NWC), Otti stated that the LP presidential ticket would be open to qualified members, stressing the importance of party membership and financial standing.

He emphasized the exclusion of any member who does not meet the qualifications. Otti's remarks came after a recent national convention aimed at re-establishing the party's leadership and unity.

He congratulated the newly appointed national chairman, Senator Nenadi Usman, and noted the high attendance at the meeting, which included 25 state chairmen and previous leadership structures. This attendance reflects a commitment to overcoming challenges and consolidating unity within the party as they prepare for future elections.
