Otti Calls for Unity in Labour Party Ahead of 2027 Elections

Abia State Governor Alex Otti, who is also a national leader of the Labour Party, addressed the party's National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja on Thursday. He called for unity among party members to secure victory in the 2027 general elections.

Otti, represented by Deputy Governor Engr Ikechukwu Emetu, highlighted the need for collaboration among candidates and warned against internal divisions that could be exploited by opponents. He praised the party members for their maturity during the primaries, which he viewed as a testament to the party's growing strength and stability.

Otti urged all candidates to support each other and work closely to achieve optimal success, stressing that the elections would not be won by individuals but through a united party structure. He encouraged members to set aside personal interests for the greater goal of expanding the Labour Party's influence at all levels of government, emphasizing the importance of grassroots engagement and trust-building with the Nigerian people.
